May 5

Things are starting to settle down a bit in the Bertus household. Knowing that there isn't any chemo in the near future is a blessing for Mark. It just makes you feel good. We are anxiously counting down the weeks until surgery now. It will be here soon. Mark has a not so fun test scheduled tomorrow morning at the hospital as part of the pre-op evaluation. He is hoping to join Calen in Montgomery after the test for the Biscuits game. Calen's school is going there on a field trip tomorrow. It will be a nice outing for the guys.

Colton had a baseball game tonight. They won it by 1 point. Their team has definitely improved this season. Calen had a baseball tournament this past weekend in Auburn and their team took 2nd place. They also did well.

Not much going on this week. We pray for Mark to feel good during this chemo break so that he can get out and play a little before the upcoming surgery. Continue to keep Mark lifted up in your prayers. We can't thank you enough for all the support. God bless!!!!!
